The initial oscMall™ software is available to download
and use without any hidden fees, requirements or licensing.

The oscMall™ has development based on the osCommerce Open Source Project.  We have taken much of the existing logic from the  osCommerce system and extended it to create a virtual mall system.  The project is covered under the GPL, which gives individuals or firms the freedom to create and modify the source code to meet your needs.

The oscMall was started as a small project over 4 years ago to increase the flexability of the osCommerce system. Since its initial release, it has under gone many changes, fixes and enhancements which have given it a unique place in mall systems. A public release was placed on Source Forge as a Open Source project release for the public to evaluate and submit bug reports and suggestions at our forums site.

Thru this co-operative endeavor, we have eliminated many bugs in the system and made many improvements which were suggested by our volunteer users.   We've grown by leaps and bounds from the initial build, and work is constant on improving what is already a full featured product.  Our goal is to have complete separation between code and data, and flexibility in the management of the mall administration.

osCommerce™  combines open source solutions to provide a free and open e-commerce  platform,  which includes the powerful PHP web scripting language, the stable  Apache  web server, and the fast MySQL database server.

With no restrictions or special requirements, osCommerce™ is able to run on any PHP enabled web server, on any environment that PHP and MySQL supports, which includes Linux™, Solaris™, BSD™, Mac OS X™, and Microsoft Windows™ environments.
